Interior Fragrance "Grand Century Rose"

"Thanks to Queen Catherine de' Medici, the city of Grasse became the world capital of perfume in the 16th century, where jasmine and rose were cultivated to produce the scented gloves for the Court. The reign of Louis XIV, also known as the 'Grand Siècle,' was marked by a lavish court established at Versailles that overused perfumes for personal hygiene, as clear water was then suspected of transmitting diseases through the pores of the skin. Soon, the palace of the kings of France earned the nickname 'perfumed court,' deeply imbued with this Grand Siècle rose that all the sovereigns adored."
