Interior Fragrance "Imperial Neroli"

"Neroli essence produced from the flower of the bitter orange tree, a pretty little white flower classified among the Hesperides, and whose scent resembles that of the bergamot tree, owes its name, at the end of the 17th century, to Anne-Marie Orsini, Duchess of Bracciano and Princess of Nerola in Italy, known in France as the famous (and intriguing) Princess of the Ursins who adored these white flowers whose floral and sweet scent filled her palace. Did she not initiate the taste for these citrus scents and fragrances, close to orange blossom after the rain, which Napoleon Bonaparte later became enamored with upon returning from the Italian campaign? Emperor Napoleon I became an avid consumer of Eau de Cologne – created in Italy by Jean-Marie Farina, unless it was his predecessor Jean-Paul Feminis, perfumer in Cologne – to which he attributed hygienic virtues, and which he said allowed him to stay fresh and awake throughout his active days..."
