Stéphane Bern launches "Paris Le Perche," a quirky ready-to-wear brand in partnership with the SPA.
You know my love for heritage, but did you know that I advocate for animal rights with the same energy? In line with my efforts, I decided to launch a first collection “Follow Me” in partnership with the SPA. To raise awareness among young people about this cause, and about heritage along the way, I imagined stepping off the beaten path with “Paris-Le Perche,” a quirky and humorous ready-to-wear brand. As with all products from “Collège Royal, the brand of Stéphane Bern,” all online orders are processed by the ESAT Anais of Nogent-le-Rotrou, promoting the social and professional integration of people with disabilities.
With graphic illustrations, favorite expressions, puns, and neon signatures, you may be surprised, astonished, or even amused if not shocked by the new tone I adopt, fun and quirky. But “Paris Le Perche,” my new unisex ready-to-wear brand, immerses us in my universe, my values, and also the commitments that are dear to me. Made from 100% organic cotton in Portugal and conceived between Paris and the Perche, these clothes are designed to last (thick cotton, pre-shrunk cotton, no chemicals, -50% water used compared to a standard t-shirt, etc.).
If I had the original ideas for these clothes, it is to my partner Yori Bailleres that we owe the graphic part. Moreover, many of these t-shirts celebrate our two wire-haired dachshunds, our puns such as “Bern to be alive,” and more generally our sensitivity to the animal cause. For both of us, it was essential that this brand had meaning, which is why many of these t-shirts allow us to donate €2 to the SPA. €2 is the equivalent of 4 days of meals for an animal in a shelter.
“Follow Me” is the name of the first collection of t-shirts, and it is also a way to say “follow me” in my fight for animal rights, the defense of heritage, and in a form of “bernitude,” a mix of positivity, carefreeness, and commitment.
The photoshoot for this very first collection took place at the château de Champs de Bataille, at my loyal friend the decorator Jacques Garcia's place, featuring models Ségolène Danton, a very close friend, Jeaneta Domingos, a wonderful actress from my series Bellefond with whom I have formed a true friendship, not to mention Yori Bailleres. Playing on the striking contrast between the opulence of the decor and our decidedly urban t-shirts, I tried to break the codes and clichés that are often attached to me, to highlight my engaged and undeniably quirky brand.
