Our partnership with Casal

In the brand "Collège Royal's" desire to develop a "lifestyle inspired by History," the toile de Jouy and other "Indian-style" cottons hold a prominent place. These pastoral scenes featuring characters in bucolic landscapes, as well as historical motifs like the laurels and bees of the Empire or the fleurs de lys of the Monarchy, are part of the purest tradition of the manufacture founded in 1760 by Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf in Jouy-en-Josas.

Because "Collège Royal" strives to cultivate these skills that belong to the French heritage of decorative arts, we have chosen to initiate a close collaboration with the company Casal, whose history is closely linked to the origins of the Prévot-Scheurer family, spanning six generations, and direct descendants of Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf, the famous creator of the Toile de Jouy and Auguste Scheurer, the founder of the textile printing manufacture established in Alsace in 1841.

The house Casal, proud of its past and talents in the textile industry, perpetuates the French excellence know-how and thus allows the brand "Collège Royal" to offer, notably thanks to the Heritage Collection, high-quality products that have a connection to History.
